The F500-SCF sensor is a precision electronic device designed to detect various types of solid or liquid materials in aggressive environments or in applications where conductive sensors are not recommended due to the presence of moisture, corrosion, etc.
The F500-SCF sensor stands out for its large front sensing area, making it suitable for detecting porous or non-compacted solids with voids, such as those found in sugarcane bagasse, chemicals, grains, etc.

12 to 30Vdc power supply, capable of supplying 100mA to each sensor. Power is supplied via the red (positive) and black (negative) wires. The sensor has two digital outputs: one in High mode (green wire) and the other in Low mode (yellow wire).
The F500-SCF sensor operates with internal signals in the radio frequency range (1MHz). For this reason, it should not be mounted directly on metal plates when two or more units are installed close together. For these applications, it should be mounted on a suitable support made of low-density insulating material.
With the F500-SCF sensor properly installed and the process operating normally, the sensor should be calibrated. Sensitivity is adjusted using the trimmer located inside the sensor. Turning the trimmer clockwise increases sensitivity, and turning it counterclockwise decreases it. The LED lights up to indicate that the sensor is activated. The sensor should be adjusted so that when material is present, the sensor is activated, and when there is no material, the sensor remains activated.
Note: In some processes, the material to be monitored may accumulate on the walls where the sensor is installed, keeping the sensor activated. In these cases, the process walls should be checked periodically and kept clean.
